Oktoberfest began in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese of Sace-Hildburghausen. The royal newlyweds deemed the party so great that they wanted to repeat it every year and so Oktoberfest has been celebrated in Munich every autumn since then.
During the festival, giant tents capable of holding thousands of revellers are erected and over 6 million litres of beer is drunk. Bavarian music plays in the afternoon and often gives way to more modern pop music in the evening.
Oktoberfest returns on Saturday 17th October 2026 for a huge day of authentic German beer, live Oompah bands, incredible décor, long bench seating, dress-up fun, and a massive Oktoberfest tent atmosphere. Guests can enjoy specially imported pilsner beer served in iconic 2-pint steins, with VIP tables also available.
Choose from two sessions — Afternoon (12pm–5pm) or Evening (6pm–11pm). Our popular £4 pint early bird offer is back, giving guests 1.5 hours of £4 authentic German beer at the start of each session. Please note: the offer applies to standing and unreserved seating tickets only and excludes reserved table bookings.
