Dancing, singing, fun, games, and laughter, 2015 has been a blast.
And all because of the wonderful people who choose to spend their precious holiday with us here in Cornwall.
Here are some of the highlights from 2015:
Opening night March
Kicking off in March 2015 we opened the season with a bang at the Easter party, with live music, fun and games. The popular Easter Egg hunt and kids’ club activities, led by Liam and his team, were a big hit with the little ones.
Funky Monkey’s birthday party August
Our very own Funky Monkey celebrated his birthday in style in August and everyone was invited. There was jelly, ice-cream, party games and plenty of cake.
Michael Jackson August
He promised to wow and boy, did he deliver. Michael Jackson tribute act Rory J had the crowds up dancing for his amazing performance – he enjoyed a standing ovation bringing the white glove to life at his electrifying performance.
Summer Fun day August
The only one not able to attend this annual event was the sun, but that didn’t stop the entertainment team putting on a packed programme of fun for all the family. Bouncy castles, face-painting, the Jack Sparrow pirate show, and much more made for a memorable event.
Money raising Macmillan September
The staff and customers got into the bake off spirit by joining in with the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan. There were mouth-watering treats on offer, from simple sponges to extravagant buns that would have impressed even Paul and Mary.
Loo of the Year October
Not one to blow our own trumpet, this award was a welcome surprise at the end of season. Recognised as the national standard for ‘away from home’ toilets, the awards are recognised by national tourism bodies throughout the UK.
Newquay in Bloom award October
The hard work of the gardening team was recognised by the Newquay in Bloom. The organisation, made up of Newquay Town Council, Cornwall Council, Newquay BID, local businesses and residents, works together to keep Newquay and its surrounding areas looking beautiful.
End of Year ball October
A heart-stopping end to the season, the Halloween Ball delivered shrieks and screams of delight from those brave enough to enter the Horror House. For our younger guests there were plenty of fun Halloween activities to enjoy, with everyone joining in with the fancy dress end of season ball.
Thanks to the generosity of guests and staff the event raised £230 for Cornwall Air Ambulance.
The 2015 holiday season would be nothing without the hard work and dedication of the the team on-site and everyone involved in delivering memorable holidays – thank you to everyone and we can’t wait for next year.
