General Conditions

Monkey Tree Holiday Park is a family park and caters for families and couples only. The Park does not accept all male, all female parties, clubs or school groups, nor do we accept groups of couples under the age of 30 unless by special authorisation by Management.
We reserve the right to request proof of age should we believe that any members of the group are below the age of 30 (the only forms of identification accepted will be Passport or valid drivers licence). Management reserve the right to amend, implement new or retract items within the terms and conditions at any time.

Booking and Payment Conditions
When booking a holiday, a non-refundable deposit of 25% will be required immediately to secure the booking and the balance must be paid 8 weeks before arrival for both static caravans and camping/touring. Should the balance not have been received within 7 weeks of arrival a late payment charge of £30.00 will be incurred and the Management also reserve the right to re-let your accommodation without notice. If the booking is being made within 8 weeks of the arrival date, payment will be required in full at the time of booking. Confirmation of the booking will be forwarded to you upon receipt of payment.
An administration charge of £10.00 will be incurred if alterations are made to any booking after the balance is paid.

Only one discount or special offer can be applied per booking. Once booked, any offers available subsequently cannot be applied to an existing booking.

The person making the booking accepts the Terms and Conditions on behalf of all members of your party and is responsible for making sure that they accept them. We cannot accept bookings from anyone under the age of 18. Nor can we accept bookings made on behalf of another person.
It is your responsibility to check the details on your booking confirmation are correct and notify us immediately of any discrepancies. We cannot accept responsibility for any errors not corrected prior to arrival.

Cancellation Insurance to cover the cost of your holiday will also be automatically added to the cost of your holiday, you are welcome to opt out of this at the time of booking.

Amendments to booking
Once confirmation has been made you cannot transfer your booking to anyone else (including members of your party) without the agreement from Management. We will do our utmost to accommodate you should you wish to make minor changes (i.e. type of accommodation), however there may be a fee to cover our administration costs in doing so. We cannot accept any major changes to your booking (i.e. change of dates) if the arrival date is within 4 weeks.

Cancellation of booking
If you cancel your holiday for whatever reason, you will be responsible for the full cost of your holiday. However if you purchased Holiday Cancellation Cover at the time of booking you will be covered for the sum insured on the basis that you adhere to the specific requirements detailed within this section.
The Holiday Cancellation Scheme covers you until you arrive on site after which refunds cannot be given for any reason should you decide to leave early. No refunds will be made on any bookings if the party has not taken up the Park's Holiday Cancellation Scheme in relation to the specific booking.
Cancellation Insurance will automatically be added when booking to cover the cost of your holiday, you are welcome to opt out of this at the time of booking. For this premium Monkey Tree Holiday Park will refund all monies paid (excluding the cancellation and booking fees), provided we have written confirmation of cancellation of the entire party at least 6 weeks before the commencement of your holiday. Between 6 weeks prior to arrival and your arrival date, Monkey Tree Holiday Park will only issue a refund if cancellation is due to the following:
  * Death of a member of the party
  * Serious Illness
  * Redundancy of any of the members of the booked party
Exclusions:

Wilfully self-inflicted injury, intoxicating liquor or drugs, other than drugs taken in accordance with treatment prescribed and directed by a qualified medical practitioner, wilfully self-inflicted illness. All events which prevent you from taking the holiday must:
  * Occur after the acceptance of your booking
  * Relate to yourself and the named members of your party as stated on the booking form.
If cancellation occurs you will be asked to supply supporting documentary evidence.

The premiums are as follows:
  * Holiday price up to £100.00 - £6.00
  * Holiday price up to £200.00 - £12.00
  * Holiday price up to £300.00 - £18.00
  * Holiday price up to £500.00 - £30.00
  * Holiday price up to £900.00 - £36.00    
  * Price £901.00 and over       - £49.00                                    

Any claims must be in writing and be supported by the necessary documentation (i.e. Doctors certificate, confirmation from previous employer etc). If you have your own holiday insurance and do not require Monkey Tree Holiday Parks Cancellation Scheme you will be required to provide documentary evidence. This must be received within 4 weeks of the booking being made.

Arrival and departure times
Pitches
Pitches are available from 12 noon on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure. There is no guarantee that pitch bookings can be extended beyond the dates originally booked. We regret that we cannot guarantee any specific pitch but will do our best to accommodate any requests.
Pitches, although paid for must be claimed and occupied within 24 hours of the due time of arrival. The Management reserves the right to re-let the accommodation after 24 hours unless prior advice of delayed arrival has been received. Please inform us if you intend arriving late.

Static Caravans

Static caravans are available for occupancy from 4.00 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure. You are welcome to use all the facilities on the Park should you arrive early and also for the remainder of the day on departure. Please inform us if you intend to arrive late.
Late arrivals may obtain their key from the security office before midnight.
All prices are based on six people sharing. An additonal 10% of the total price will be charged for each additional guest up to a total of 8 guests.

All equipment and linen must remain in the static caravan.
Bookings for the static caravans are strictly for the persons named on the booking form. Any changes must be notified to the Management who reserve the right to cancel the booking.
The total number of persons occupying a caravan must not exceed the number booked.

Pets are only allowed in certain static caravans. No pets are to be left unattended on the site or in the Static Caravans. Pet baskets/bedding must be supplied and used by the pet's owners.
All statics are non-smoking.

Pets
All dogs must kept on a lead at all times a 'haltie head collar' may also be used should the owner wish. Any dog listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 is not permitted on the Park. No more than two dogs are allowed per unit and must be kept under the control of a responsible adult.
All fouling must be removed immediately and placed in the appropriate bins. Dogs must only be exercised in the designated area (the footpath between the top of Willow field and Ash field). Dogs are not allowed in the swimming pool area, bars, shop, reception, takeaway, amusement arcade, soft play area, outdoor play zone area, lake area, laundry, all toilet blocks and dishwashing facilities.
We reserve the right to require the owner of any dog or pet considered to be a nuisance or affecting the comfort of other guests to remove it immediately from the Park without refund.

Vehicles
A speed limit of 5mph applies to the whole site and we ask drivers to keep to the roads and not drive on the grass at any time except when gaining access to their pitch or static caravan. Vehicles are brought onto the Holiday Park at the owners risk and we are not responsible for loss or damage to these except where it is caused by our negligence or default or that of anyone we are responsible for. In circumstances where a customer's own vehicle or equipment was the cause of an accident or incident the owner will indemnify the Park of any demands and resultant losses (consequential or otherwise) relating thereto.

Activity Centre at Monkey Tree Holiday Park

1.Staffing and equipment at the Activity Centre and use of the area are occupied by the Activity Centre are under exclusive control of Monkey Tree Holiday Park.

2.The Activity Centre is provided exclusively for the enjoyment of those holidaying at Monkey Tree Holiday Park, but strictly subject to the conditions set out in paragraph 5 below.

3.On booking with Monkey Tree holiday Park you are accepting the conditions of use. You may also be required to produce evidence of your identity and of your age when intending to use the facility.

4.Conditions of Use:

Children under the age of 8 MUST be supervised at all times by a Parent/Guardian, who must remain within the Activity Centre whilst the child is there.

The Management reserve the right in its absolute discretion to refuse entry to the Activity Centre to any person and/or to require any person present to leave.

No alcohol or food may be consumed by any person within the Activity Centre unless purchased from a site outlet and no glasses or bottles may be taken into the Activity Centre, however plastic may be permitted.

Those using the equipment and facility, particularly adults and teenagers, are required to have regard at all times for the safety and enjoyment of others and particularly younger children.

Any person or property brought into the Activity Centre remains your responsibility at all times. Monkey Tree Holiday Park accepts no responsibility for its loss or damage. An Activity Centre is not the place to bring expensive items such as mobile phones, watches, jewellery and/or camera equipment.

You are required to inform the Reception Team whether any of the following apply to the person intending to make use of the facility:

Does he/she suffer from any physical or mental disability?
Does he/she suffer from any serious illness?
Has he/she suffered any neck (e.g. whiplash) or back injuries?
Has he/she any social or behavioural problems?

Deciding whether, and if so, how participation in the Activity Centre may be arranged in order to ensure the successful participation and Health and Safety of the person concerned and other participants using the Centre.

5.I accept on my own/my child's behalf the basis upon which use of the Activity Centre is permitted. I agree to the Terms and Conditions set out in this document. I further acknowledge that there are inevitable risks of injury associated with the use by me and/or my child of an Activity Centre.

Save for circumstances in which injury is caused by the proven negligence of breach of statutory duty of Monkey Tree Holiday Park, its Management, employees or staff, I acknowledge this form that I am assuming on behalf of myself and/or my child the risk of such injury and that I do not hold Monkey Tree Holiday Park, its Management and staff liable for any such injury and that I will indemnify them in respect of any claim for such injury made. I have satisfied myself before entering the Activity Centre that I and in the case of my child, my child is physically and mentally fit to successfully participate in the activities offered.

We will use the information provided for internal administration and to carry out our obligations to you and (if different) the person using the facilities.

We would also like to use the information provided by you to contact you: via post/phone/email about any offers or opportunities that we feel may be of interest to you. If you would prefer us not to contact you please inform Reception when booking.

Site Conditions
Persons using Monkey Tree Holiday Park and its facilities do so at their own risk. The Park will not be liable to any persons for personal injury or loss or damage to property, however caused or sustained.

It is compulsory for all customers and day visitors (excluding children 5 years of age and under) to wear a Monkey Tree wristband which are chargeable at £3.00 per person and will be applied at Reception on arrival. Failure to adhere to this condition will result in refused entry to the Park and all of its facilities without refund of monies paid.

In the event of the static caravan or touring pitch offered and booked in good faith not being available due to storm, fire, non-completion or other such causes beyond the control of the Company, Walker Leisure is relieved of all responsibility and financial liability.
Some amenities may be reduced or curtailed according to circumstances and in early and late season some facilities/entertainment may not be available.
We do not permit washing lines on any pitch.
The swimming pool is closed at 7.00 p.m. and is not supervised. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children at all times and all children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Management reserve the right to withdraw access to this facility when deemed necessary.
All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult in the lake areas at all times.
In the interest of others, we ask that there be no noise after 12 midnight and before 7am.
The Park gate is closed between 12 midnight and 7.00 a.m. No vehicle movements are allowed between these times unless in an emergency. Persons coming onto the Park between these times must park in the overnight area provided.
The Park reserves the right to enter caravans or have the police enter at any time.
All areas of the park other than those listed below are alcohol free zones.
Places where alcohol may be consumed are:
· The Voyager Bar and outside courtyard within the fenced area
· The Summer Nights Bar and outside courtyard area
· The Restaurant, Takeaway and individual units (Tent, Caravan, etc.)
Visitors or clients staying at Monkey Tree Holiday Park must be aware that the Park Management accepts no liability for any damage to vehicles or personal property brought onto the Park. The Park also accepts no liability for any valuables lost or stolen.
We would like to everyone to enjoy their stay at Monkey Tree Holiday Park and therefore request that all of our customers, regardless of their age, act courteously and politely to their fellow guests and members of our staff.

Website Accuracy
Whilst every care is taken to ensure that the details on our website, including any promotional emails, are correct at the time of being published, we cannot accept responsibility for errors contained therein or results thereof. We are not responsible to you for unforeseen events or matters over which we have no control. These terms also apply to third party websites.

Our service to you
We do all that we can to ensure you enjoy your holiday. Occasionally problems occur and if they do or you have any concerns about your holiday when staying with us please tell the Park Reception immediately and we will respond to you as soon as possible.
We will not be responsible for any matter, which you knew about during your stay but did not tell us about during your stay. If any matter is not resolved during your stay you must notify us in writing of this as soon as possible (and in any event within 7 days of the end of your holiday) as otherwise we will not be able to consider it.

THE MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY OR TO EJECT FROM THE PARK ANY PERSONS, WHO IN THE MANAGEMENTS OPINION ARE UNSUITABLE, FOUND TO BREAKING THE LAW OR WHO CAUSES NUISANCE OR DISTURBANCE TO OTHER VISITORS OR STAFF ON THE PARK.

ON CONFIRMATION OF YOUR BOOKING YOU ACCEPT OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN FULL.

IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT THAT THERE IS A CONFLICT OR DISCREPANCY OF CONDITIONS THEN THESE CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL.
