I booked one of the Padstow style static caravans for myself and my family to stay in over the June half term. This was our first stay here.From first arrival we were very impressed. The check-in was quick and even though it was busy the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. When we went into our caravan we were very impressed at the incredibly high standard of the accomodation. It was spotless throughout and included a lovely welcome package of bread, milk, jam, wine, chocolates, biscuits and much more. There were even flowers on the table. The beds were comfortable and the outdoor surroundings were also well kept.
I have to say we were particularly impressed with the on-site entertainment. I can't believe the comments of the family below. All of the children over half term seemed to be enjoying the disco and loved Funky Monkey. The entertainment staff went out of their way to encourage all children to join in!
On the Tuesday there was supposed to be an outdoor Jubilee party, but due to the awful weather it got moved indoors. The atmosphere in the bar was fantastic, the children played games and were up dancing and singing. The acoustic singer was excellent!
Prices on site were also reasonable, the food in the restaurant was good, seemed to be lots of special offers running! The on-site shop was very convinient and also well priced! Cod & chips from the take-away was lovely!
There is so much in the area to see and do as well, Perranporth beach is only a few miles away and is great for families.
Would definitely recommend this park and we will definitely be returning. Good value for money, family friendly, staff were all very helpful, and the site is clean, tidy and well looked after! Can't wait to go back! Thanks Monkey Tree!!

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the monkey tree. We had a great holiday even with not particularly good weather. We stayed in a trenance static, a modern and clean van and the welcome pack on arrival was such a lovely touch. Easter eggs for kids too, fab! We liked the location of the monkey tree as have previously stayed closer to newquay. You need a car to get about but its ideally situated. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. The reception staff helped on few occasions nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment team worked so hard and did great job keeping children happy. Our daughter became Petes hero shadowing him whenever possible and talking about him lots!!!! Overall we had a lovely week in cornwall and would choose to return to the monkey tree it exceeded our expectations.Tripadvisor 17th January 2012
We came down last year and stayed at monkey tree for the very first time, our kids are between 13 and 1 and they had a great time in the park, they loved the pool, sometimes a little over crowded but they was still loving every minuet they had in there, they made some great friends and still in contact for wen we book and come down this year from essex!!the football training and matches they played threw the park helper was good for my boys as they r football made lol,
night club was good, and even got to watch footy on wide screen so thats a bonus for dads!!
caravan was spotless wen we got there, and the staff was very helpful
if u r looking for a nice clean park, kid friendly, then monkey tree is the place!

We had a short break at Monkey Tree in September, and we took our dog with us, we stayed in a static caravan which was dog friendly-as are most of the nearby beaches throughout the year.The accommodation was very well equipped and spotlessly clean, the entertainment was great,and apart from the unseasonal weather,we had a fab time.A very well kept site , with friendly and helpful staff, would recommend to all!!

Have just returned from a four day trip to Monkey Tree. I stayed with my two children aged ten and eleven in a tent. We upgraded to a premier pitch as we wanted additional privacy and the pitch was great. Rained throughout our stay but this certainly didn't spoil our holiday. From the second we arrived, we were looked after and the reception staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. The entertainment staff, Lucy and PAtrick were amazing, even on their night off they took the time to come and chat with us. The Halloween party was brilliant and the band on the last night was incredible, fantastic atmosphere and the children loved it.We will definitely be booking to stay again next year, maybe twice! Lol
Newquay and Truro are really close too.
Although some of the facilities were closed, this didn't spoil it for us at all, the animal enclosure is a must see as well!
All in all a fantastic holiday, brilliant staff and clean, large shower facilities. Brilliant! Well done Monkey Tree! the Kennedys x

What an amazing lovely holiday park, we stayed for one week in a static caravan which we found to be very clean with a lovely welcome pack on arrival, made such a difference. The park itself was well kept, clean and staff worked very hard to make sure that this was so, the facilities such as the shower blocks and toilets and washing facilities for campers was splendid, although some of the shower blocks need updating to the standard of others they were still very clean and nice. The staff were all polite and could not do enough to make you feel welcome from the reception staff, to security to bar and ground staff. At Monkey Tree you make it your holiday, if you want the quiet, get away from it all holiday then you have got it, if you want to make use of the excellent facilities such as the children's fun activiites (trampolines, ball ponds, crazy golf ect) to punch and judy on the grass, or the fishing lake or the animal enounters, and of course the entertainment in the evening then you have got that also. I have been visiting the Monkey Tree in Newquay for a few years now and have always had a good time. When I heard that the Park had come under new Management during the winter of 2010 I wondered what it would be like when I came down to Cornwall in May. I have to say that the whole place is looking better than ever before. Along with the new management there are several new staff working alongside those who have been there as long as I can remember and everyone is polite and friendly and only too pleased to help you.It is obvious that they have been doing a lot of work on the grounds over the summer as well as extending the park but it all looks great with bright flowers and borders everywhere! When I had been down in previous years, the showers and toilets were clean but there was room for improvement, this year they are sparkling, fresh and a pleasure to use, past problems with shower pressure seem to have also been fixed as I had great warm showers throughout my stay. They also have made a new central point between the two bars and the outdoor activities which includes a new kids club that both of my little ones visited everyday and loved, Lucy and Dean were great and did something different everyday they even took them to the onsite farm animal encounter area which was their favoourite! I was also really pleased to see that they have much more entertainment and plenty of variety than in previous years, while I was there I went to an outdoor cookery demonstration, did a garden and grounds tour with the gardener on top of all the other entertainment in the evenings etc, it is all advertised in Reception so it is easy to see what happens and when. I have always enjoyed the Monkey Tree but this year the park has improved beyond what i could have imagined - Can't wait to come back in July and thanks for a great holiday!
